Surfrider Foundation est un réseau mondial d’associations régionales et de représentations locales présentes sur tous les continents ; le mouvement est né en 1984 à Malibu en Californie, où des surfeurs souhaitaient protéger leur spot de la pollution locale.

Surfrider Foundation Europe is a non-profit association, fighting for the defense, the safekeeping and the highlighting of the ocean, the coastline, the waves and of the population which enjoys it. Surfrider Foundation is a worldwide network of regional associations and local representatives active on all continents ; the movement was born in 1984 in Malibu, California, where surfers wished to protect their spot from the local pollution.
