The recent winter storms have left behind a great amount of waste and micro-plastics, which is why the Finistère chapter is organizing its first collection of the year on Saturday 8th of February at the La Torche beach. Armed with gloves, bin bags and boots, we count on you to help with the cleanup for about an hour 🙂
Wear appropriate clothing, and we will provide you with the necessary material (but if you already have protective gloves feel free to bring them).
At 4pm we will analyse the waste collected on the La Torche beach, at the Surfrider Foundation 29 spot located in the Triskell cultural centre of Pont l’Abbé.
This Ocean Initiative is organised by the R.I.A (@RiaAssociation), an organisation representing the people involved with the Pont l’Abbé river and its surroundings. The waste collection is part of “UN WEEK-END POUR L’OCÉAN” a week-end long initiative focused on climate change and marine biodiversity, and taking place the 8th and 9th of February at the Triskell cultural centre of Pont l’Abbé.
